N

NPC: Non-player character. NPCs are characters that are controlled by the computer system and are generally governed by a certain amount of artificial intelligence.

... and then I disappeared for a couple of months.

I'll get back on this. In fact, I had a handful of entries already done that I did (as production specific, not sound) for the GCSE class.

It did occur to me though, as this thread is getting a little messy, could we log them some other way? A wiki would perhaps be too big an undertaking, but I was thinking of something free for individuals to edit (like a wiki-lite) might be the way to go.

Of course it's your site George, it depends where you want to go with it. If you want to retain tighter control of the content on the main site, publishing articles as discreet pages is still the best approach.

Yes, a "wiki-lite" would be a good idea... hmmm... do you know of any such software? I was thinking of making a separate section within the site called Game Dev Glossary, but a freely editable wiki would be a good idea. I'll do some research into this.

Sadly not. That would be why I suggested a wiki-lite, if one exists. I know enough as someone who's created/edited pages to know they are brilliant, pretty easy to use and (I think) easy to install on a website. However, I've heard some horror stories about the admin time that's involved maintaining and policing a full wiki. Spam, once again, is our enemy.

I'll ask around my fellow geeky friends.
